I'm in love with these boots!!! I ordered them to wear camping and hiking in the mountains. they didn't need breaking in at all. No blisters or hurting feet. They were warm and comfy and nice and waterproof. It rained while camping and I had to wash something off in the shower in the bath house and wore them in there and they didn't leak. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I want more colors.

My gnarly feet love these! I rarely, possibly never, have found a shoe or boot that i slip on and I know they fit perfectly! My feet are complicated by being narrow, hammer toes, bunions, rheumatoid arthritis and just all around sensitive, from day one I wore these all day; walked 5 miles and gardened on uneven surfaces. I tested the waterproof-ness by hosing the boot off while still on my feet and absolutely they did not get wet. If I had one complaint it would be to add more cushion in the sole especially near the heel. But let me say, there is ample support and ample arch support.

Excellent boots!I went to Iceland on September and although i didnt encountered snow, the boots kept me warm and definetly waterproof. Very slip resistant, i couldnt believe it. I usually wear 8 and i bought them 7.5, perfect fit. Very stylish and lightweight.

These Ahnu Sugarpine Boots are great! I got them in all-black, and they don't scream "I JUST GOT BACK FROM A HIKE" if you decide to wear them off the trails. But, they are great for hiking -- waterproof and super comfortable. Wipe off easily -- tread is good for slippery and rocky conditions. I wore them on wet trail hikes -- perfect -- but I'm not so sure they'd be warm enough or have enough traction in winter. They are perfect for the rest of the year though.

Overall, I love this shoe. It does run a little small, so I ordered a half-size larger. Unfortunately, it's too narrow for my foot. So, I'll be returning the boot. I wish they had wider sizes.

I have been wearing the same boot for years. I had to stop wearing them after being resoled 3 times. It took a while for me to find these boots but I did with Zappos excellent customer service. Then we had to return and ship a larger size. I wear these boot 365 days of the year. They are light weight, have thinsulate for the winter and are great summer boots too. I just bought a second pair since my other favorites were soled (sic) out. They are pricey but I've been wearing my first pair for 2 years and they don't show any sign of wear. For light snow they do well. For heavy snow I've got my heavy duty snow boots. It's so nice to have a light boot that suits all temperature deviations in a year. They are colorful and look nice when worn out for a casual dinner. They also have a great color selection that allows me to be a mountain woman with some style!

Needed new hiking boots for a trip to Peru. After reading the reviews decided to try them - plus they had great color selections. I bought red. When they arrived my teenage daughter tried them on and decided she needed a pair for the Peru trip also. She picked purple. We both wore them straight out of the box for the trip - no breaking them in first. The whole trip was long days and lots of walking/hiking. The boots were very comfortable, never any trouble. I have a bad ankle (arthritis following a break) so I needed the ankle support from the high top. These offered that as well. I did not test mine for the water proof worthiness, but my daughter did and she said her feet stayed dry. All in all, very satisfied with purchase. Would definitely recommend.

These boots are so light and comfortable for long walks that I didn't even need to break them in. I've tried lots of different brands and Ahnu is the best for my narrow foot. I did need to return my first pair for a 1/2 size larger, which hasn't been true of other Ahnu shoes. Otherwise, no complaints, great footwear all around!

I really like these boots. I bought them for an upcoming hiking trip so I have only tried them on but they seem comfy and supportive while also being lightweight. I normally wear a 9 in shoes and got these in a 9.5 so I could wear them comfortably with thicker socks. The colors are pretty too, although I don't know how long that'll last once I wear them outside.

Wow! Love these boots. Took them without any break-in time to Scotland for some pretty difficult hikes. I was worried, but they performed beautifully. No blisters, excellent traction, and they are adorable. Will be buying more Ahnu in the future!

My daughter and I are gearing up for hiking. For her, I purchased her preferred (brown) and the grey/blue were for me. Talk about comfort! Talk about quality! We're already stoked for our tropical hiking trip next week, and thanks to the boots, we're also getting ahead of ourselves and making plans to sport these for more fashion wear during the winter!

I loved these shoes all winter. They not only carried me through NY slush and snow for my commute, but they also were comfortable enough to wear all day without being too heavy, too hot, too clunky or too ugly. On the contrary, they were the perfect combination of form and function; warm, svelte, light, breathable, waterproof, rugged, and stylish. BRAVO!!

Great boots! Perfect fit and very comfortable. After a 10 mile hike in the Smoky Mountains, my feet still felt great - good support and cushion.

Best shoes my feet have felt in many moons. I can wear them without socks (would need to order a half size up for sock-wearing). Great for trekking around or all day standing!

I love these boots! They are super comfortable on my soles, and took no break in time whatsoever. A little stiff up around the ankle, but that wore off after a couple of days and the correct socks. They are the perfect hiking boots. They are light, comfortable, waterproof, and cute! They are very true to size. I am a size 8 in all shoes and they fit like a dream!

These are super cute but run small and narrow across the toe. I ordered a half size up and it is still a bit tight but hoping it will break in.

What a great-fitting boot! I usually wear size 9, but went up half a size for these based on the recommendation of other reviewers. I have narrow feet, but with the laces tightened, these feel perfect! Enough wiggle room for my toes, but snug all around. I would recommend wearing hiking socks with these if you need to add some extra width around the ankle to avoid blistering. Bonus: these are cute!! Can't wait to wear them hiking in WA this summer.

These are pretty comfy and run true to size with enough room for thick socks. Stepped through some puddles with no wet socks.

I love my Sugarpine boot! I have been hiking in them during the fall and spring and have been very happy. I also want to wear them during the summer. They do keep your feet very warm. While hiking, I stepped into a few puddles and my socks stayed dry. It wasn't until my foot slipped into a creek and stayed there for a minute that I felt the water. These have good, but not great traction. I love the ankle support and the fact that they are not as stiff or heavy as other hiking boots. They almost feel like running shoes. And the color selection is fabulous. I chose the grey and teal.

The first time I wore these was on an 11 mile hike, 8,800 elevation. The second hike was 14 miles. No blisters and no sore feet. They are very lightweight. So far so great!I have narrow feet and I'm flat foot, so the boot is a little big. I bought a 1/2 size up so that I could wear thick socks and accommodate for swelling.

Five stars! Bought these at a different location as I needed them right away. The store clerk recommended the brand and said they were soft, lightweight, and felt like slippers so I tried a pair. He only had the Astral Aura (purpley color) available and I was not so sure about the bright color, but that's all he had in my size. They really did feel like heaven on my feet and aren't big and clunky like other hiking shoes. I normally wear a 7 in sandals, 7.5 in regular shoes, and maybe an 8 in running shoes. This one fit me in 7.5. I chose a bit larger so as my feet got tired, it would be roomy. The toe box is not as large as I would like but hasn't proven to be a problem. I have wide feet in the front with narrow heels and worried the heel would slip. It does, but has never made a blister! The shoe took me on an over 5 mile hike and was AWESOME!! Waterproof and warm - but for me (i'm usually cold) they are not too warm for summer hikes. The sole is flexible, but not too much so, and has a grip and good tread. I don't feel much arch support in the shoe, but is still quite comfortable!

Great looking in the grey turquoise. Very light. Fits as expected. Trim at the ankle so it fits under most jeans. I wear a 7 in dress shoes and bought a 7.5 in this shoe. It was a mildly short at the toes on my slightly larger right foot and since I have no choice but a half size smaller, I picked that, but I'd say a 1/4 size smaller. I'm wider in the mid foot and have a small bunion on my right foot. Definitely buy at least .5 larger than your dress shoes if you're wearing heavier socks. I wear Smartwool. I also tried them with my green Smart Feet insoles and they fit great. I decided to return because I wanted a heavier boot for Alaska and bought Salomon which fit best in a 7. I almost kept these for light hiking and day wear because they are so nice looking and I liked the trim ankle fit. In the end two new pair of hiking boots was more than I wanted to spend with an expensive Alaska trip coming up.
