Great fit and super comfortable. Kept my feet dry and my ankle supported hiking on uneven terrain. Wore these in Zion National Park and my feet never got tired. I ordered a half size larger to accommodate thicker socks. Toe box a little narrow but not uncomfortable.

I was looking for a good if not great waterproof hiking boot for a trip to Eastern Oregon this summer. So far I love these boots. I've had my eye on them for almost a year. I've been walking around town in these boots for the past couple of weeks. They are extremely comfortable. I am very happy with the sizing, the comfort and the color.

Stylish, comfortable and cozy. Great on the feet while walking and standing for long periods of time. I would buy them again

If only they made a size 12! These boots are beautiful and comfortable, but they run small. I generally wear an 11, but often size up in athletic shoes, and these were no exception. My big toes hit the end, which is a major no-no in a hiking boot. Bummer!

These boots are absolutely wonderful. I ordered them 2 weeks before I went to hike a 5D/4N Salkantay Trek in Peru. I was only able to hike 2 hours in them before leaving. I ordered a half size up, as advised. Initially, they were a little stiff in the tongue, but that quickly changed once I wore them for a few extra hours. I put the boots through the ringer. I first hiked up a mountain with intense switchbacks, then hiked in the rainforest for the next few days, hiking uphill and downhill in mud and rain, and through rivers. With a double layer of socks, my feet stayed dry and the boots got at most damp. This was much better than many of my companions’ boots that were often soaking wet! The boots also were very light. I hiked almost 50 miles over those 5 days, almost constantly going either uphill and downhill, and I didn’t get any blisters. Rarely review, but I had such a good experience with these boots I felt compelled to share.

The burgundy color is lovely, and the styling of this shoe is so cute. The footbed is very comfortable--I add an orthotic to most shoes, but this one has great arch support. My only issue was, for the few minutes I had these on, they were rubbing the top of my ankle on one foot. Maybe, after these were broken in, that rubbing would subside but for $130 I could not risk it.

I got these boots for a mountain weekend getaway. As advised by other reviews, I ordered up one full size. The were pretty comfortable right out of the box. I wore them for a couple hours just to make sure no funny areas were rubbing. Just got back from a 3hr hike and I can say these boots are great. Felt sturdy but light. Good arch support. No slipping on uneven terrain. Feet feel good! Would recommend.

Absolutely LOVE these boots!! I usually wear a 7.5-8. Normally an 8 in boots. I ordered the 8 and they fit perfectly!! :) They were incredibly comfortable straight out of the box. I have been wearing them alot and have received lots of compliments. :) I have a pair of flats in this brand that i love as well.

Was looking for a comfortable, lightweight, waterproof hiking boot. These have surpassed my expectations. No break in time needed. Have spent last few days hiking on muddy redwood trails and the beach and have only been pleased by the boot's performance. Other reviewers commented that they needed to size up. I ordered a half size larger. I didn't return them but feel my normal size would have been fine. Perhaps that is because I have a more narrow foot and the toe is boxy and quite roomy. I highly recommend this boot for the outdoor lover.

I love these boots! I usually wear a 7 1/2 and based on reviews I bought an 8. They fit perfectly! I bought the burgundy and I love the color. I am recovering from foot surgery and I needed good foot and ankle support. There boots did not disappoint. They are so comfortable and I wear them all the time. I also have a pressure fracture in my ankle and they are so supportive that I don't have to wear my "boot" from the dr. Thees boots were comfortable right out of the box ... they don't rub anywhere and I could not be happier with my purchase!

Comfortable and light weight which is what I was looking for. Many boots like these are really heavy. I wear them just to knock around..and for walks on the mountain trails by our home...They worked for me!

These boots have exceeded my expectations. They are so comfortable, keep my feet warm and dry, plus they are light enough to make hiking/walking in them enjoyable. This will be my new go-to brand for winter footwear.

Love them. Light weight, comfortable as soon as I put them on. Good traction even in snow packed terrain. Haven't used them to see how warm they are., but normal walking kept my feet toasty. Live in Colorado so have a lot of different temperatures. I had an old pair of Lowa and they were good to me but decided to try something different. Needed a half size bigger.

Great boots for traveling and walking. I tried these at a local sporting goods store before buying it to make sure that the fit was comfortable. I was looking for a pair of waterproof walking boots for my trips to Europe. These boots were very comfortable and provided plenty of arch and heel support.

I have a slightly larger right foot and find it very difficult to find size 11 shoes with enough room to accommodate my foot difference. I was worried these wouldn't fit. And they do even with a heavy pair of socks. I used them for Fat Tire Biking in chilly MN in the Fall/early winter. Very light. I love them. Colors are cool too

After trying out several pairs of waterproof hiking boots, I settled on these. They run a little on the small side -- 9-1/2 fit me perfectly, whereas I typically wear an 8-1/2 to a 9 in shoes and a 9 to a 9-1/2 in boots. These boots are amazingly light on your feet and easy to walk in. I live in Southern California and have not had a chance to try them in snow, but they did well in light rain. Although it feels as if there isn't much arch support, somehow it works and seems to be all I need for comfort, and I am picky about arch support. My feet are also a little on the wide side, and I can wear thick socks with these. Also they're easy to put on with the speed lace at the top. I liked them so much I bought the men's model for my son and boyfriend!

I used these to hike in Alaska. They are light weight and very durable. Very good foot stability and grip. Easily hiked through rain, mud and on ice. They were narrow in the toe box and because of this, I couldn't wear a super thick sock. I even sized up and it still didn't work. I don't have a wide foot. However, I liked these boots. I really felt that my ankles were secure. No slipping in the heel either. Definately worth trying out!

I don't do a lot of hiking but I have a weak back so I need good traction on the ice and snow during my wintertime commuting. I'd never heard of the Ahnu brand before so it felt like a bit of a leap to buy these but I'm glad I did. These Sugarpine boots are great--warm, sturdy, dry, and comfortable. I like the color choices too--I bought a grey pair that have a bright aqua sole. The grey hides the slush very well, and the bright soles are a cheerful spot on gray winter days. Now I look forward to snow days. It may sound weird but I find these fashionable enough that if I need to go straight to a business meeting first thing in the morning, I can wear these with my dress pants, and they don't stand out as out of place like some boots would. The only thing that might be a criticism--and this is a very minor concern--is that they are VERY warm. I really couldn't imagine hiking in them, they are that warm. Great for winter but I can't use them on wet spring or fall days because my feet get too hot. I think I'll need to get another pair of Ahnus that aren't hightop boots for those days.

I used this boot on a 9 mile hike without having to break them in. They were extremely warm and I was wearing thick socks. I originally ordered a 7 due to other reviews saying to order 1/2 size up, but I exchanged them for a 6.5 and that fit perfectly. My foot might be on the smaller end of a 6.5, so measure your foot to be sure what size fits you. I trekked through mud, rocks and water and my socks were not wet at all. I gave a 4 for comfort because there is a slight sewing defect on the tongue and it digs into my foot a little, but I adjusted that part and it's not as bad. Overall - sturdy and warm boot, but still be careful when walking over wet rocks, as there it is still slippery.

I love the arch support in these boots. They feel like they were made for my feet. I've worn the boots only twice and find them to be a little tight across my toes, but I may just need to adjust the laces. I was in a hurry the other day and wore low socks and the sides rubbed my ankles a bit, but I like that they are on the stiff side because the support feels amazing

I just love the way these boots look and the fact that they are waterproof, but the length was fine, but they seem to run narrow. I can usually wear a medium shoe, but with these, I can only wear very thin socks. I am going to try a size up and see if that is better.
