In 1973 Timberland built their original yellow boot. It was a rugged, durable, waterproof leather boot made for cold, wet weather. The boot was too narrow for my medium foot. Otherwise nice.
True to Timberland's style, these boots are durable and comfortable. Additionally, they are so cute! The brown already shows signs of wear (wrinkles in the toes mostly) but for me that adds to the charm. They are lightweight and very manageable heel height.
I actually loved these shoes. I'm returning them because I ordered another color. I thought the black looked a little like bowling shoes when I tried them with jeans. But they are pretty comfortable. I went up a half size so I had room for heavier socks and they feel very good.
I ordered mine in wide and a half size up and they fit perfectly! Very comfortable; I wore them for 9 hours (mostly standing and walking) the day I got them. The heel is a great height and they fit perfectly in that "not too casual/not too dressy" category, so they go with everything.
I'm agree - regular width feells very narrow! I bought black of my size on 6pm too and found that I'd better ordered wide width :( As I can't return them I made sauna for this boots (as I always do to new leather shoes for not to get blisters while stretching them naturally) - just let the steam from your boiling kettle to warm and moisturize the inside part of the boot and than put on warmed boot with thick socks (thick for not to get burned!). And then walk a little bit or jump to make your boot wider. Repeat with another boot. Now my boots' width is 99% ok.
I have been buying Timberland leather hiking boots to ride on my motorcycle forever, this is the last time. The boots prior to this failed in 2 seasons, I don't ride in Winter, its Utah. Prior boots the leather just tore at the ball of my foot where the leather meets the sole. the reason was leather is so THIN! It used to be Timberland used thicker better quality leather. As soon as I opened the box I noticed this leather feels and looks even thinner. The fit is good Styling is good and this wont need breaking in as the leather is thinner than my tshirt. As Usual Zappos was awesome with less than a day shipping. I'll keep these & hopefully they last thru this summer.
Acknowledging that I've only worn them half a dozen times, I have to say I love these boots. I've been looking for quite some time to find a replacement for my old Doc Martens, which I loved and lasted forever, but were always a bit too narrow for my foot. Between my wide feet and the orthotics I have to wear due to fallen arches, finding a comfortable, good-looking, durable boot is like chasing the holy grail. However, this boot accommodated the orthotics without having to pull out the sole cushion and the width is spot on (wide size). They are comfortable, feel great and look great. As of now, I couldn't be happier. Time will tell as far as durability and quality, but no complaints from me so far.
Well, it's one for the money... Bought these to replace an older pair of blue suede chukkas. They're a staple in my wardrobe and these Tims fit the bill! First time wearing them today and I'm amazed by how comfortable they are. Check out that insole- good stuff! Normally I'm a 10 in dress shoes but exchanged these for a half size down; 9.5s a snug fit that I'm sure will be perfect after break in period. The outsole of this is a Timberland design I have on a pair of boots and offer great traction. My only gripe is the blue suede isn't as deep a blue as I would like (compared to the pair they're replacing). Overall a great shoe that I'd buy more than one pair. Well you can do anything But stay off of my blue suede shoes!
this is about the 5th pair of these that I have bought for myself, as well as two pairs that I've purchased for my father. Very comfortable, very durable, very stylish.
Timbs are the best! They came really fast because I have the Zappos app. GET THE APP!! It's worth it just for the shipping. Had to send first pair back because of a defect, but the lady I was chatting with from the 24/7 chat service on the app sent me out a new pair RIGHT away without having the other pair first. That was awesome and honestly made my day. Got the new pair quick and they're perfect! It's nice having a nice new pair of timbs to wear. They need a little break in time, they're kinda stiff at first and I wear an 8.5 normally and I got these in size 7. They fit awesome. Better than the 7.5s I used to get. Deff worth it! I miss the old prices, but these boots are the best and they look amazing new or worn! Thanks Zappos!
