I have had these boots for two years now. They are very light and pretty waterproof if you are wandering in tall grass and mud. They are the most comfortable boots that I have and I have narrow feet. The only problem that I have with them is wet rocks. These boots will slide on wet rocks. On the other hand, if you are climbing up a steep mud slope (as I have often done), these boots will grip like no other. I did order half a size larger than normal. Usually I am a 7½ and I ordered an 8. They are still snug but I have never gotten blisters on the multiple hikes that I have done. I have heard Keens are good for wide feet but they are comfortable for us narrow footed humans too.

I've worn Keen shoes for years because I love their roomy toe boxes and how well they accommodate my high arches. When I needed waterproof boots for a hiking trip I ordered a pair of Targhee IIs believing they would fit like the rest of my Keens. Not so! Everything about these boots was too narrow and too low. I exchanged them for a larger pair but they were merely longer, not wider or higher. I finally had to go with a men's boot to get that familiar, oh-so-comfy Keen fit. If you're used to wearing old school women's Keens, these boots may not work for you.

I got these boots to walk my dog in boggy weather and they are so comfortable I bought a second pair as a spare for when/if these wear out. Great in snow and rain, and with Yak-Trax on them can even handle ice.

Great boots - I love these boots! I normally wear a 7 in regular shoes, and I bought a 7.5 in these. They probably would fit better in an 8, so keep that in mind when buying. Otherwise they are super comfortable and definitely stylish.

Great day hiker with good looks too! This shoe felt great right out of the box. With this shoe, like other Keens, I sized up 1/2 size. I broke them in the very same day with a four mile morning hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains. These shoes stood up to slippery mud, and were easy to clean afterwards. No blisters or pinching, and they're fairly lightweight. Good arch support, and the footbed keeps my feet and ankles really stable. My favorite features are the padded tongue that is quite breathable, and the lace grabbers at top that keep my laces totally secure so I don't have to over-compensate with double-knots. I haven't worn them on a very long day hike yet, but I feel confident they'll stand up to many more miles. They also look and feel great for casual wear with jeans.

The most comfortable light hikers I've ever owned - These are just awesome for day hiking, and maybe even more. Very comfortable. They do run very small. I normally wear an 8 in most shoes and an 8.5 in my other Keens, but in this boot I had to go all the way up to a 9. So keep that in mind when you order.

I love these boots...I use them to do weed whacking on sloping ground. The tread has excellent grip and the toe box is nice and wide. I wear them for hours working and they still stay comfortable and my feet always remain dry in wet situations!

I wore my Keen Targhee II last summer when I walked 550 miles in Spain doing the Camino de Santiago. They held perfectly for the 30 days plus of hiking in all kinds of terrain. I wore a whole size up of my regular shoes size with Smartwool PhD Outdoor medium cushion socks and Compeed anti shaft stick. I did not get one single blister! These Keen were sturdy yet extremely comfortable, waterproof but breathable. They hugged and protected my feet. I had them for almost 10 years and the Camino was their last adventure. I was sad to part ways. I have tried other brands, but for wide feet like mine, Keen is superb!

Following the other reviews, I bought this a half size up from what I usually wear. I was a bit nervous about this, because at first the shoes felt too big. But I wore them with hiking socks, and after a day of hiking my feet swelled a little bit, they were perfect and I knew I picked the right size and the right size. So order at least half a size up.

Awesome boot - Comfort and stability in this boot. Love it!! Pay attention to the posts that tell you to order at least a half size larger. If you want to wear heavy socks, I'd definitely try a full size larger. Width is true but the length is not. My 4th pair of Keens and the Growler is next for winter!

Keen's does it again - Put them on for the first time today. Hiked about 3 hours in a lot of roots and rocks. Then, it rained. Result no foot hot spots or fatigue. Looked great and felt great. The width of the toe box allows your toes to go to the edge of the toes without toe bang. No slipping. No tightness over the arch. I'm going to order another pair now. EM in West Virginia

Great Fit - I have been waiting for these shoes to be re-introduced for 6 months - and they're worth the wait. Typically I take a size 9 in Keen sandals; in the boot, I take a size 9.5 Arch hits me just right - good toe room - very comfortable.

I have a short, wide foot and a high arch. Buying shoes is usually a chore, verging on a nightmare as i try on shoe after shoe after shoe that pinches and pokes and does not fit all my idiosyncrasies. i purchased these boots the winter before last, and have practically lived in them for the past 18 months. I have purchased another pair in a different shade to keep for "messy" hikes and icky weather. I have used these boots in summer and winter. Super fit with a wide toe box; the medium width fits my wide little foot and no heel rubbing. I usually wear Wigwam hiking socks with the, but I have also worn regular ankle socks with them during the summer and they still feel secure on my foot. Love my boots.

Hiked 11 miles the first day in these, with great comfort! I don’t have wide feet but when it comes to hiking at mile 7 the little toe needs some room!! These expand out in the toe box perfectly for this need WHEN needed. The next hike, 56 miles in Yosemite over five days...I fell in love with these boots!!! Also saw them on two other gals on the same trail!!!! ?????

I absolutely love these Keen boots and I am very much satisfied with this purchase! I decided to buy these boots for work because I do tons of walking at the hospital and every other shoe that I have bought (Dansko, Alegria, Salomon, Merrell, etc) broke down within half a year! These boots did not need to be broken in, and is so comfortable for all day use. No blisters, no sore feet, and has tremendous amount of shock absorbent, too! I have wide feet, and these boots fit perfectly. I highly recommend these Keen boots!

Love these boots. Lightweight and sturdy; however, I usually wear a 7 1/2 and these were short and I ordered the 8. I might have been better off with the 8 1/2. Still love them.

Great Hiking Shoe - Great hiking shoe. I read what others' wrote, and ordered a half size larger and it was perfect. I was glad to see that many others were serious hikers and wore the shoes to many outings.

Great hiking shoe - Bought these for a trip to Park City, UT. Kept my feet very warm and dry while trudging through the snow. Wore them with thick/wool socks. Could have used a 1/2 size bigger, but they were comfortable right out from the box.

Perfect hiker - This shoe is perfect for my feet for hiking, but I actually wore it around town for the first few days. I need ankle support for my wobbly ankles that cause me untold back problems, and these do it without being too stiff like most hiking boots. They support on the front and sides, but have a big dip at the Achilles area so they don't rub. They are cute with jeans and I can't wait to take them on a hike in the woods. Also they are lightweight, which is an issue in the hot southern climate. I ordered an 8 to accommodate socks, but usually wear a 7 1/2. I don't understand the size issue with Keens, because they seem true to size.

Love my boots! I'm wearing them right now! They are comfortable right from the box. I went for a short walk/hike and had no blisters, rubbing or discomfort. I am very picky about my shoes - comfort is very important to me. Sizing was the biggest issue. I've never owned a shoe in size 8.5 (normally 7.5 - 8) so listen to others (and me) and order a bigger size than you think you need.

Keens are great but difficult to size - This hiking shoe is extremely comfortable, easy to use with my orthodics. Maybe a little less ankle support than I would like for snowshoeing. I wear a size 8 shoe and had to go to a size 9.5 in Keens!
