Absolutely stunning dress. Bought this for my daughters prom. She decided to go with a brightly colored dress instead, so we will be returning this one.
The pleats on this dress to not line up on my body very well. It looks like I have an apron over by waist. The color is beautiful and I like the shape, but because how the pleats lay I will be returning.
This dress is absolutely beautiful if you like a dress that forms and contours your body! As some one else said, the pleats hit the body in all of the right places. The dress is comfortable because it stretches and if it feels tight when you zip it up, don't worry it shapes. I think the dress runs true to size. I'm 5'1" and 102 psd and the size 0 fit perfectly. It does fall right below my knee for length, but as an older woman I appreciate that it falls below the knee.
so a few things - the color. Not a coral like in the picture, more of a hot dusty pink. Normally I am a M or an 8 in nicole miller - this dress is extremely tight and uncomfortable. The double lining means it will be hot in the summer as well. the style is really cute and I had such high hopes for it but it is WAY too tight. Sending back.
This is a very classy, sophisticated and elegant gown. I purchased this for a black tie affair wedding in April. It fits my body perfectly (however it was a bit long so I had to take it in for alterations, but I usually do). I'm 5'2, 110 pounds. The sleeves sit so nicely and it rouches in all the right places. I would highly recommend this dress (even though it's kinda pricey)
I am returning this dress. The straps are too far apart for me and fall off the shoulders. One of the reasons I ordered this dress was a prior review that said it was fully lined. That is not the case. The bodice has a second layer but the rest is a single layer and the fabric is very thin.
Perfect little black dress for dressing up or down. Fit like perfection. I will definitely use time and time again.
I can't understand all the great reviews for this dress. Personally I felt like the material was of poor quality, the zipper gets stuck incessantly on the poor quality fabric (bound to cause visible tears eventually). I am 5'4" and 120 lbs - based on reviews I bought a size 6. Normally wear a 2-4. It was not too big, the fit was fine. But I looked and felt like a sausage in this dress.
This is a beautiful, simple, classic dress. I am still deciding on whether to keep it or not. I want something simple like this dress. However, like many millennial women my age, I find the idea of spending even a thousand dollars on a dress that I will wear only once quite ridiculous. That said, $1200 on a wedding dress is not terribly bad, and this one seems to warrant that price to some extent. It is fully lined, with a boned corset-like underbodice. The dress is made from what appears to be a taffeta like fabric, only I believe it might have a bit of stretch to it. Additionally, the train is what I believe is "chapel length" which makes it all the more wedding appropriate. Should I choose to keep the dress, I will likely wear some sort of lace topper over the dress for my November wedding and remove the topper for the reception. For reference I am 5'0" (30-23-33) and the 0 fit fairly well, though I would likely have the waist and skirt taken in slightly to accentuate the "mermaid/trumpet" look. The length would definitely need to be altered as well.
This dress is a pretty dress, it gave my waist a nice shape, even though the dress is not boned. I'm rather vertically challenged and very petite (5'1", 30-23-33). However the lace along the v-neck was slightly frumpy looking in my opinion, and the straps of the dress would need to have been altered significantly to fit my petite torso, in order to keep the straps from falling down. Additionally, the dress was far too long. (I guess it is not uncommon for a wedding dress to not fit off the rack). The back of the dress is special, with the lace and cowl style back, and a nice chapel length train. (At least I think it's chapel length). The quality is fair as well, the fabric is a nice somewhat substantial jersey, with a bit of stretch. If I had chosen to keep the dress, I would have had to have the straps and length altered, and would likely have had the lace along the bodice v-neck to be removed. All in all, with a taller person, I think the dress might make a much more stunning first impression.
