About Maui Jim

Since 1980, Maui Jim has strived to become a leader in sunglass innovation. They have developed countless improvements to their polarized lens, which greatly reduce or even eliminate harmful glares. From their humble beginnings in Hawaii, they understood the need to have sunglasses that enhance the rich and bold colors of the island. The culture of the island involves interacting with nature, either soaking up sun rays or relaxing at the beach, which made it especially important for Maui Jim to include polarized lens in every single pair of sunglasses. Rest assured, you'll see Maui Jim's true colors once you put on a pair.

Maui Jim offers a large assortment of glasses for all situations. From lightweight nylon frames to compliment the outdoor scenery, to dressy metal frames for dinner with the family. From surfing, skateboarding, hiking, or even just walking down the pier, Maui Jim glasses leave nothing to be desired. Highly impact and scratch resistant, Maui Jim lenses offer the best protection against the roughest elements of nature. Even among the harshest conditions, you'll find that the quality of these sunglasses far surpasses the industry norm.

Experience real color in Maui Jim sunglasses, and explore the world around you as you've never seen it before.

This are the most beautiful sunglasses I have ever owned. I love them

Perfect! Wore on the beach in Cancun....perfect. Wear to work...perfect. Wear while m doing yard work...perfect. I would buy these again in an instant. I like function over style and these are perfect. My wife approves and she cares more about style as opposed to function. Don't hesitate to buy these. The only problem I had with these was that the first pair my wife ordered for me was slightly bent upon arrival. We returned these and ordered a new pair and they were just fine.

I was sent a different style, the Ho'okipa, not the Banyans

Fantastic glasses. I own a few pairs of Maui Jims and this pair is by far the lightest. You barely even feel that they are on. The styling is fantastic and timeless. The lenses are perfect and exactly what you would expect from Maui Jim. The new Blue Hawaii lenses are very crisp and pure. I'd highly recommend!

These are the lightest sunglasses I've ever worn. Every other pair slides down my nose, at least a little, but these stay in place even years after bought them. They fit my (wide face) and look great while blocking out a ton of bright light. The polarization is really high quality too: consistent from edge to edge. I love them so much that I just ordered a second pair after I lost my first.

These classes are extremely light and comfortable. I often found myself forgetting that I was wearing them. Unfortunately, it seems like there is a major quality flaw in Maui Jim's rimless glasses. Hairline cracks tend to form easily around the bridge of the glasses even while taking great care with them and storing them in there case when not in use. I love the MJ brand and will be purchasing more pairs, but I will be staying away from the Lighthouse and all other rimless models.

I turned to these after a rimless model (Kumu) broke after just two days. Zappos paid the freight for the return and credited my card without question right away. I got the Kahuna since I figured it would be sturdier. No doubt it is. My wife says she likes how they look better than the Kumus. I do too, but they are very different sunglasses. The Kumu is light and great for active use. The Kahuna is rather heavy and the ear pieces don't grip by head well, so they tend to slide down my nose. I noticed this at the beach when sweat and sun lotion made it hard to keep them poised when walking or even sitting. They look great. They are great for driving, or reading a book in the sand. But I may need a different pair for more active use.

Love the fit and they're fun to wear. Can't beat the lens quality of Mauis!

Fits my wife's petite face well, looks proportional in all aspects. MJ lens very clear. Bought two different lens types and couldn't be more pleased.

Just bought the marlin color in these. I currently have the tortoise color with the rubber coating. I love the sporty wrap fit, but the rubber coating is flaking off . So I grabbed these with a gloss finish. I'll see if MJ will repair the others under warranty. For comparison I also have the stingray in black and they are a little larger on my face. They mainly sit on the bridge of my nose. So I tend to use them more for fashion then sport.
