Wellies, originally favored by the hunting and sporting set, stand as a pillar of British design. And no brand is more aligned with the welly than Hunter. The Hunter Original boot was introduced in 1956 and has since become an icon. The Original is still made today using many of the same heritage techniques as employed in the ‘50s.
The Hunter Original Tall and Original Short rain boot are offered in a matte and gloss finish in a cornucopia of colors. It is the ideal boot to wear when it’s sprinkling, raining, or pouring and you’re tromping through wet streets, slick grass, or straight mud. It keeps your pants and feet clean and dry. They also look great too!
Spring showers bring summer rainstorms which then become cold fall rain and winter sleet. Hunter wellies can be worn in every season; however, don’t forget to layer warm socks underneath your boots when the temperature dips. Luckily, Hunter makes boot socks in quite a few designs to wear with your boots for a unified look and cozy feel. Welly socks are also available for kids as well, so the whole family can wear and enjoy.
Hunter boots are purchasable for men, women, girls, and boys in a range of pull-on and lace-up styles. They exude a classic style and will hold an important place in your wardrobe for years to come. These will be the boots that you hand down proudly once your child outgrows them.
Hunter holds two Royal Warrants by Appointment to HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh as suppliers of waterproof footwear. This appointment is awarded to those who have provided products to the royal household for at least five years. Hunter received the first in 1977 from the Duke of Edinburgh and the second from HM The Queen in 1986.
I failed to notice how big my calves were when I ordered these boots. I have a pair of Kamik "Jenny" and they fit just fine. These boots on the other hand are not for my type. I am 5'5 120lbs... I returned the boots and reordered the adjustable back. Hopefully they fit.
Guys, Buy These Boots! Who wants wet shoes?!?! Great wellies for rain and slop! Great for city or country side! I had to return the first pair because Hunter mis-labeled the left boot. It was one size smaller than the right boot. Mark @ Zappos was awesome! He handled my return with genuine concern! He, and Zappos, are awesome!
Love love love these boots! I have had them for 2 rainy Oregon winters now and they are holding up great! I have the red ones, they add a fun pop of color to all of my outfits! I like that they are slimmer to the calf than other rain boots and overall they just seem less bulky and clunky. I usually wear a size 7 and I have a size 6 in these boots, though I do like to wear them a bit more snug and don't layer socks very often. Worth the splurge!
I got this pair for my trip to Europe back in the end of March, where England was still cold and rainy. It did keep my feet warm and dry. I felt extremely uncomfortable to wear it to explore around.
These are a great basic but tall rain boot. They run true to size. I got the red but not the shinny red which is fun but not extreme on a gloomy, rainy day.
Returned because they just don't fit right - arch is not comfortable. Other than that they're fine, but just not worth the money for something not super comfortable.
Love! I am 5'1" and these are the perfect height for me. I originally ordered up a size based on the reviews but ended up returning for my usual size. I do find them more narrow than usual Hunter boots but even with socks they were still better with my usual size than to go up. I wish there were half sizes.
These boots are comfortable to wear and are lightweight for tall boots. I ordered one size smaller and am happy with the fit. Love the graphite gloss color very much.
If you have a wider calf I would recommend ordering the back adjustable boot as well as this one and returning the one that doesn't work. I did not and now am return these and getting the back adjust. Also agree with everyone about sizing.
When I received these boots, a lot of the glossy shine was missing & there were big blotchy spots of dull white spots (this was right out of the box--I never got a chance to wear them).
