Just got these yesterday and couldn't wait to wear them. Very comfortable heal height.
Ah, Frye boots. I've always wanted a pair of Fryes so I took the plunge on these ones. I'm a consistent size 6, but I ordered a 6.5 based on other reviews. I think it was the right choice. The heel is loose, but according to Frye's website that's how it is supposed to be at first. The zipper on one side pokes the back of my ankle, but I that will go away with time. They aren't fully broken in yet, but I've worn them twice for short periods and they already feel better. The quality is superb and the color is rich (not as orange as the picture). I think these are going to be a fabulous fall boot. I recommend going up 1/2 a size and allowing ample break in time.
I had to get a half size larger to accomodate my calves. The buckles on the bottom un-snap when you are walking to long. They are comfortable. Had been looking for a new pair of black boots .
These shoes are stylish and extremely well made. My husband can walk in them all day and said his feet still feel good. Beautiful shoes.
Boots look very good and are comfortable, but the soles started squeaking almost immediately after I started wearing them. I kept wearing them hoping it would go away after they were broken in but the squeaking has only gotten worse. It sounds like a duck quacking with each footstep and it's embarrassing to wear these at work because they're so loud. I'm surprised because I've had good luck with free boots in the past.
LOVED the look!!! Exactly what I was looking for, but the "Tall" meant it. It made the stiff leather hit right under my kneecap, so it pushed my kneecap up when I tried to walk. Very disappointed that I didn't see this same boot in Regular height.
Awesome leather upper but the soles kept falling apart
Loved the look, and the color/style was exactly as I expected. Arrived quickly, and in great shape. Sometimes that type of leather finish can appear "beat-up" or have marred placed on it - this didn't! They run a little big, but that works for me. Can't wait to wear and make them my own for a long, long time.
So nice! I was invited to a western themed graduation party and because I am plus size and short, I did not even consider cowboy boots, due to my wide calves and high heel preference. These were love at first sight! The oiled leather finish really makes them look rustic, tough, rich and western. The leather is really appreciated in this color. They look more rich in person. When I first tried them, they would not slide in without a panty hose. After they were on, my foot felt suffocated. I was determined to break them in and I was able to tolerate them for 2 hours. I gave my feet an hour of rest and I put them back on. I wore them several times off and on, each time I wore them again, they felt more comfortable. On the third day I wore them shopping. My feet hurt a little. I sat down and wiggled my toes, slid my foot into a more comfortable position within the boot, and I was able to tolerate them for the rest of my shopping trip. They now go on super smoothly, without hosiery.(just footsie socks) they are not tight on any part of my feet, and feel great! High heels for a heavy person are always painful. But good leather workmanship makes it seem painless. There is no pain to any of my toes or the heel like you get with an inexpensive (non leather)shoe. Just the fatigue of walking in high heels, when carrying a few extra pounds. I would still say these are super comfortable!
the calf was too narrow. The box was shipped with just the shoe. The shoes looked worn and old.
