Feel broken in after about 20 miles of hiking. Good foot and ankle support. Works well carrying a 30# load. Toe Box is a little narrower than others. Works for me since I have a foot slightly on narrow side. Fit true to size otherwise.

I purchased these boots specifically to use on land we recently purchased in Colorado where there are steep grades and lots of trees and bushes to maneuver. These boots are stiff in a good way, keeping my ankles supported when walking on uneven terrain. I wish I would have purchased them in a half size larger in order to wear thicker socks, but normal weight socks work out well. I have a really fussy bunion on one foot, and these are plenty wide enough to allow room without causing additional pain. I have trod in snow and mud without any issues slipping or my feet getting cold. There was no break-in period other than discovering on the first day that my socks were too thick for the size I got, but that was an easy fix. I use an orthotic insole, so I can't really state as to the support without it. I would buy these again and recommend them!

Great look, happy with the style. They are a little stiff and don't breath as well as my keens.

Very solid boot. Have only had two 5 mile hikes one carrying 30 lbs loaded in pack but support is great. Using sock liners eliminated hot spots on balls of both feet.

Great solid boot - but was half size too small and also not wide enough. Size up. Buying the larger version.

Really want to love this shoe, but it seems to run large. Typically wear an 8AA in dress shoes, but usually wear an 8.5 in athletic and hiking shoes with a M width if the shoes run a little narrow. Thought this might work because some reviews said it had a narrow heel, but the 8.5 is just too long. That coupled with the generous toe box (which I want to love) makes me feel like I'm sliding around in the front with a little heel slippage in back. I like them so well I'm going to try a .5 size smaller.

Just out of the box these shoes certainly met my expectations. The sizing is true to fit. There is a little slippage of the insole on one of the shoes if it cotinues I may need to exchange or modify. I love the classic look combined with the versatility to handle the elements. I have been thoroughly satisfied through the years with my Asolo hiking boots and expect these will deliver the same quality and performance. It's a great looking shoe to boot...sorry for the pun.

These are my secondary boots meaning I don't use them for hiking anymore because I've found the Zamberlan Vioz to be more comfortable on extended hikes. But it still makes a great boot for working around the house and when I don't necessarily want to abuse my primary hiking boots. They are a bit lighter than other boots but I can still go further more comfortably in my heavier Zamberlans.

Finally! A boot that fits my narrow heel and wide bumpy toes! PRICEY but fits. Also much stiffer than Keens I have been wearing, but comfortable nonetheless.

Very comfortable shoe right out of the box. Heel is narrow so it's good for motion control if you have over pronation.

My favorite boot. I got these for hiking the Canyons in the southwest. I work in a warehouse and thought that I would wear the boots to work to "break them in". Well the boots fit like a glove and felt like they were already broken in. Now they are me work boots and hiking boots. Worth every penny.

Hands down the best boot I've ever purchased. Very comfortable, yet strong and durable. I'm on my feet all day and must have the best . I Receive commitments on a regular. Thanks Asolo for offering my size (17). Fortunately, I was able to experience this brand back when I wore a 14, but out grew the boots before I was able to wear them out. PLEASE continue to add more styles and colors in my size. I'm a customer for life.

I have a wide foot, so I usually have to purchase up a size from 7.5 to fit my width. The size 8 fit in the width but was 1.5-2 inches too long.

Great boot with exceptional ankle support and a roomy toe box. Wore them on a ski trip with record snow fall and they still look brand new. Toes were warm, dry and feet didn't hurt that much considering how much I walked. I give comfort 4 stars because I think a softer cushier insole would make them feel amazing.

The fit is true to size and I really liked the arch support. While I really like the shoe and the waterproof aspect of the shoe the sole is very stiff which I did not care for. I am returning the shoe for the rigid rubber base.

My boots felt true to size in all ways possible. I've walked/hiked several miles in my boots and haven't even had the slightest indication of even one single blister. The type of socks worn should be considered. I've had not even the least bit of any problem with my boot laces either. I love my boots and have no problems or dissatisfaction at all.

This is my second pair of Asolo boots. I got a pair of Fugitive in Pamplona Spain five years ago on a visit, and used them on a day trip to climb Mt Urgul in San Sebastian. I wore them many hundreds of miles backpacking in the White Mountains of NH and in Maine. It took a lot of effort to wear them out, but I finally did. When my wife asked what I would like for Christmas, I said a new pair of Asolo hiking boots, and she gave me these. A bit of an upgrade from the Fugitive, and equally as amamzing. I will never wear anything besides Asolo on the trail. I do have LaSportiva for winter climbing and hiking with crampons, but for most snowshoe excursions, or hiking with katoohlah microspikes, the TPS is well up to the challenge.

I have 2 pairs of these boots. I use them for work in the rough country living. I deal with rocks and brush. These were great in keeping my feet dry. I have to wear an insert. These boots left plenty of room for comfort. The VIBRAM sole and GORTEX lining are the thing to have when hiking in rough country.

I recently ordered these shoes with some hesitation regarding fit as I have had no experience with this brand. I have been so pleased with them. There was no break in period needed. I normally wear a sz. 8 narrow with occasional birkenstock insert for support. Size 8.5 offered a wonderful fit without need for the insert and adequate room for heavier socks. Did some hiking out West recently with resulting comfort, dry feet and great stability. I would order this shoe again.
